In high school, I was in the habit of calling my cat "Meow" or "Cat." One time I came home from school and my friend Rian was with me. The cat was waiting at the door for me, so I said, "Hi Cow." I was surprised and Rian was confused.
How about "How Now Brown Cow!" It might be easier to call than "Here okapi, okapi, okapi!" I like Grandma's name for Grandpa's stray cat, "Go Home!" It came running to her every time she told it to go home. I thought maybe you were announcing something (like new kittens).

Hee hee hee! I love Okapi!!! If you don't use it, I just might. I just need to find a cat that looks like it's related to a giraffe.

Nope. No new kittens, but I did think we had lost Sammy over the balcony again. Turns out he was just hiding under the bed.
